Types of relief are bas-relief, alto-relievo, and sunken-relief.  Another familiar type of sculpture is the statue, which represents a person,or persons, an event or animal, and is usually life sized, as opposed to a bust, in which the upper part of a person is represented, the face, neck,  and parts of the shoulders and chest.  A small statue is called a statuette, or figurine.
